What you pay, and when

Pricing is per verification, taken from your balance at the moment the number is issued. There is no plan to be on and no minimum spend; you top the balance up in advance and draw against it.

The price is not the same for every service, because the supply is not. A service that is easy to receive on costs what the number costs; one that aggressively blocks and burns numbers costs more, because more of them are consumed getting one code through. Every price on the site is read from the same catalogue value, so the figure on a service page, in the price list and on the order screen cannot disagree.

The life of an order

Pick the service you need a code from. It has to be the right one — routes and numbers are selected per service, and a number ordered for one is not interchangeable with another.
Optionally narrow the number. US orders can be filtered by state, or by area code, when you need the number to look local.
The number is reserved to your account and your balance is debited.
You wait. Messages are collected continuously and appear as they land.
The code arrives, or the window closes. A delivered code ends the order. An empty window ends it too, and that one is refundable.

When the charge comes back

Cancel an order that has received nothing and the charge is returned to your balance. That is the rule the whole pricing model rests on: you are paying for a delivered code, not for the attempt.

The one exception is a number that already received its message. It did what it was bought for, and it is not refundable afterwards — otherwise every verification on the site would be free.

Limits worth knowing about

Cancelled and expired orders are counted against a daily allowance. Cross it and ordering is paused for a while, and repeatedly crossing it extends the pause each time.

This is not there to punish an unlucky afternoon. Every reservation holds a real number upstream at real cost whether or not a code arrives, so an account that cancels continuously is consuming supply the paying orders need. Ordinary use does not come near the limit.

When a service is in demand

Some services accept a premium bid: you offer above the list price and go ahead of the queue when numbers for that service are scarce. It is optional, it is shown on the order form with the service, and the ordinary price stands when you do not use it.
