Four terms get used for these numbers and they do not mean the same thing. What the site you are verifying with checks for decides which one you want.

Registered to a mobile carrier rather than to an internet telephony provider. That single field is what a signup form reads before it decides whether to send a code at all.

Order numbers from your own code
The same actions the panel performs are available over HTTP with a bearer token: order a number, poll until the code lands, release it if it does not. It is what you want for testing your own signup, login and password-reset flows against a real carrier path rather than a mock, and for QA that runs unattended.

Common questions
What is an SMS verification number?
A phone number you rent for the length of one verification instead of owning. You submit it on the site asking for a code, the message is delivered to it, and you read it on screen. When the order ends the number returns to the pool.
Are the numbers non-VoIP?
They are issued on mobile carrier networks, so a carrier lookup reports them as mobile lines rather than VoIP. That is the check most signup forms run. It is not a promise that a particular service will accept a particular number: a service that already has an account on it, or that blocks its range, will still refuse it.
Which countries can I get a number in?
The catalogue itself is the answer at any moment — every service on the price list shows the country its numbers come from, and today that is the United States. Nothing is sold for a country we cannot deliver to.
How quickly does a code arrive?
Usually within seconds of the service sending it. Delivery belongs to the carrier, so a congested route can take longer, and each order shows the expiry you have to work inside.
What happens if no code arrives?
You are not charged for a number that delivered nothing. Cancel the order, or let it expire, and the balance is returned automatically — the sweep checks with the provider first, so a code that arrived late is recorded rather than thrown away.
Can I keep the number or receive a second code on it?
The number is yours for the order and then it is released. Some services support reusing a number you already received a code on; where that is available it is offered on the order itself and priced separately.
How do I pay?
You top your balance up with cryptocurrency through Cryptomus and spend it per verification. There is no subscription and no minimum monthly spend.
Is there an API?
Yes. Generate a token in the panel and authenticate with a bearer header: ordering, polling for the code, releasing a number and reading order history are all available. The endpoints and worked examples are on the API page.
What can I use these numbers for?
Verifying accounts you own or are authorised to act for, and testing your own signup and login flows against a real carrier path. They are not for creating accounts a service does not permit, for evading a restriction, or for receiving anyone else’s one-time password.
