Frequently asked questions

How virtual numbers, SMS verification codes, pricing and refunds work — answered.

What is a non VOIP number?

A non VOIP number is issued by a real mobile carrier rather than an internet telephony provider. Many services detect and reject VOIP numbers during signup, so a carrier-backed number succeeds where a virtual line fails. Every US number we sell is non VOIP.

How quickly does the code arrive?

Usually within seconds of the service sending it. The code appears on screen automatically — there is nothing to refresh and no app to install.

What happens if no code arrives?

You are refunded automatically. A number is charged when it is issued, and if it expires without receiving a message the balance is returned to your wallet without you having to ask.

How do I pay?

Top up your balance with cryptocurrency through Cryptomus, then spend it per verification. There is no subscription and no minimum spend.

Can I reuse the same number?

Yes, for supported services. Reusing a number is useful when you need a second code for an account you already registered.

Is there an API?

Yes. Generate a token from the API page in your dashboard and authenticate with a bearer header. The API covers ordering, checking status, reading messages and cancelling.
